MY MINISTRY

2012 is a year I will be dedicating to serving the Lord through partnering with Ukukhanya Life Care Centre and Campus Crusade for Christ (now simply called CRU) as I recognise them as separate ministries which envisage what and how I feel would be my service to God. The internship is designed to give me an opportunity of learning about ministry work – nice thing being that I have my hand in a number of pieces of pies - working with a combination that has never existed before.

With CRU, the focal point of my ministry work will be with CrossRoads – which is a movement under the umbrella of CRU that provides life skills for character development. This is an educational strategy that helps school children preserve health and stability, which actively avoiding social crises like HIV/AIDS, addictions and violence. I will be working with an array number of primary and high schools in and around Durban (KZN). With that co-ordinate bible study groups for the same students I will be working. The prime mission of CRU is to develop spiritual movements all over the world so that everyone knows somebody who truly follows Christ.

With Ukukhanya Life Care Centre which is a holistic care centre for patients infected by HIV/AIDS and those affected indirectly by it. It is found in Ntuzuma, North of Durban and houses some patients, providing treatment as some of the families of these patients are unable to give them the necessary home-based care more especially because they are on ARV treatment and it’s crucial that they take their medication by specification. I will be working closely with the centre in/and with the community. There is a great likelihood that I would also be working closely with some of the community schools more so with discipleship and a range of activities which as the year progress they will unfold, CrossRoads being one of them.

I am so super excited about what the Lord is to do this year (2012) more especially partnering with Him is a tremendously humbling for me. I aim to use all the resources that I have been made available to me, the talent I am able to share, the knowledge I am able to impart, and the truth I am able to teach (2 Tim 2:2). With year 2011 being a learning curve for me, seeing how students on campus take up the new image of Christ and are transformed by the word of God inwards out I am certain with out a doubt that that is the Lord’s business – making Christ centred labourers from being changed by the word.

The mission is to launch movements in all societies where everyone knows someone who truly follows Jesus Christ as I mentioned earlier on. As much as I have faith in what I will be doing this year , so do I have faith in that the Lord will provide me with the necessary support I need to develop a team of people who will join me in fulfilling the great commission, praying and giving financially to support my internship. If you would be interested in being part of my support team, please do not hesitate to contact me on  +27 (0) 73 833 3345 or bmadida@gmail.com

Serving Christ – peace and love be with you!
